I don't usually feel inspired to take pictures when I'm baking, but when I went to fold the strawberries into the batter yesterday I was so over whelmed by their bright red color, that I couldn't help myself. I'm so used to seeing a color that's mostly just speckled whites and reds when I puree strawberries. It ended up staining the batter this beautiful pink color, and the fragrance coming out of the oven was incredible.
I'm going back to the market tomorrow to talk directly to the strawberry people......I'm going to need these in bulk.
