As the sun tries desperately to fight through the rainy weather I'm beginning to, once again, play with new flavors that I think compliment the changing season. I've begun introducing the new cupcakes at the markets; it's a great place to see how you fine cupcake consumers react to the newbies. Last week I introduced Chocolate Blueberry. That went over so well that I think it might have to be added to the permanent menu. This week I bring you Apricot & Poppy Seed Cupcakes. This cupcake is incredibly delicate in both texture and flavor. The cake is a very light vanilla cake that's been folded with bits of apricots and poppy seeds, topped with a combination of vanilla buttercream and cream cheese frosting, that's been infused with the slightest bit of orange. It's delicious......
See you at the markets!
