This is getting ridiculous.....

What is going on with the weather on Sundays??
For those of you who live around, or have been attending the Brooklyn Flea in Fort Green, you might have also noticed the lack of sun on SUNdays. It's just not right.
Luckily Kumquat Cupcakery will be sporting a brand new little get up......a bright orange tent. For those of you who have expressed your difficulty in finding a mini cupcake in a giant Flea Market, worry no more! We will be the only orange tent in the bunch.
The tent will look something this this........except orange.......and without the sun, beach, and bikinis (unless we get bored).

p.s. Stay tuned for the weekend flavors!

Hello Kathy!

I actually am taking this week off from the market! yikes! But I will be back in action the following weekend, ready to make up a box just for you.
I only bring three kinds of cupcakes to the market.....do you have any suggestions for which ones I should bring?

Awhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I already told my son I was going this Sunday to get us some cupcakes. lol. Oh well he'll have to wait or I'll just make him something sweet to keep him quiet until the following Sunday. lol

Hmmmmm, now your gonna make me choose? lol. Let's see, how about the Strawberries and Cream, Chocolate Mousse and either one of the lemon ones. Oh gosh I really don't care which ones you bring but since I did promise my son one of the chocolate ones then I hope you bring the chocolate mouse.

Yeah I already know to be there bright and early cause I heard you run out fast. lol.

Thanks!

Oh forgot to ask ya Keavy. How bout making some (in the future i hope) health conscious cupcakes like carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting or a spiced sweet potato cupcake with pecan frosting? Okay okay they may not be that healthy but we can trick our minds right? lol.

Are you planning on opening up a physical store so we can buy on a daily basis?

Thanks!

Hey Kathy,

Oh no! I hate to disappoint your little boy! But even cupcakes vendors need a break. :)

Believe me, I'm dying to make some new cupcakes. The flavors I have right now are keeping me so busy though, I hardly have time to play around in the kitchen! Stay posted, come summer time I'm sure to add some new fun stuff to the menu.

As for a store front, I get asked that question a lot. Being such a new company I didn't want to just jump right into buying a store before I knew how people were going to respond to my product, so that's why I started doing the flea markets. Things have been going really well, so I would give it about a year.

p.s. Chocolate Mousse it is! I'm a huge chocolate fan as well!

Lol, that's okay Keavy. We can wait. I also understand about you wanting to wait a year before you open a storefront. Since you'll be starting out if you need any help like volunteers hit me up and I'll be glad to assist you when I have free time. I'm not really into sweets but I love cupcakes and if they make your customers smile then I'll be there to help them smile even more. lol.

Please let me know when you get your site up.

Thanks!
Kathy:)
