It's time to get out the big comforter, knitted sweaters, and John Denver cds.

I'm excited to say that the Kumquat Cupcakery will be attending the Artists & Fleas Market again this Sunday with a whole new line up of cupcakes. I've been swirling recipes around in my head all week trying to narrow the list down to 4 cupcakes I think fit the mood of the changing weather, and I think I've finally decided. Since fall is all about comfort foods, I've decided to bump the the fruit cupcakes from the line up and stick with rich flavors that in my mind compliment the coziness and decadence of the season.

The Menu:

-Apple Cinnamon Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting

-Coffee Cupcakes with Caramel Bourbon Frosting

- Devils Food Cupcakes with a Milk Chocolate & Orange Buttercream Frosting

- Vanilla Cupcakes with Vanilla Frosting

I'll be making sample cupcakes tonight just for myself, and will be sure to post some images of the end products tomorrow.

I second that. Perfectly sweet but not too sweet. Umm...I vote maybe mint buttercream for next week?
